They climb down the rocks and approach the water’s edge. They gather around a man who has brought a chicken.
The man slits the chicken’s throat, and lets the blood fill a bowl on the sand.
Then each of them dips a finger in the bowl and goes looking along the shoreline for wet stone where to leave an imprint.
They sing in unison prayers for the return of the flying fish, while standing along the shore line, they offer to the fish as a lure printed red.
